Christos Kalohoridis was born and raised in the city of Athens, Greece.
His love for photography started when his father gave him his first camera, a Russian-made 35mm rangefinder at the age of 12. Following his interest in black and white film, he moved to Toronto to pursue his Bachelor of Applied Arts degree in Photography at Ryerson University.
After completing his B.A.A. in photography, Christos packed his bags and travelled back home. In Athens, he spent three years both teaching and photographing for the local advertising agencies and magazines. After Greece, Christos moved to London, England. There, he spent over three years developing his photographic skills and pursing his career as an up-and-coming photographer.
Christos moved back to his now home of Toronto and has since become a member of the I.A.T.S.E Local 667 union. His photography has been featured on a wide spectrum; from feature films to television series and movies. Christos’ work can be seen in feature films such as: Compulsion, Cottage Country, and The Barrens. Christos' photography has taken him overseas. He flew to the Dominican Republic where he shot Forest Whitaker, Eva Longoria and Andy Garcia in: A Dark Truth. His photography also brought him to Jordan where he worked alongside Canadian director/actor Paul Gross, in his feature film: Hyena Road. He was the stills photographer on set for multiple TV pilots. Some of the most successful include: Murdoch Mysteries (CBC), Suits (USA Network), Heroes Reborn (NBC), American Gothic (CBS), and Taken (NBC).
Currently, Christos Kalohoridis lives with his wife and two children in Toronto, Canada.
